Obituary

Mary June Knoblich was born on March 24, 1952 in Sedro Woolley, WA. She graduated from Sedro Woolley High School in 1970, the same year she married her husband, Don Knoblich. This coming June 6th they would have been married 50 years.

Mary was a faithful companion in ministry with her husband for over 45 years. Twenty-five of those years were in pastoral work and twenty years she worked alongside her husband Don who serves as Regional Bishop for the Church of God of Prophecy in Washington and Alaska.

Mary loved to lead worship in church and was a gifted teacher and speaker. She taught at various couple’s retreats, ladies retreats, and at church conferences. She enjoyed teaching stewardship and marriage principles to younger and older couples alike.

Along with her husband, she was a Youth Camp Director and Coordinator for over twenty years for the WA State Church of God of Prophecy Camping Ministry. In a twenty-year span, she helped organize and coordinate forty Alaska and Washington State Conventions. No small task!

Mary will be remembered for her kind, caring, and compassionate spirit. She was a woman of faith and strongly practiced her faith. As a woman of prayer, she sought to be obedient to the leading of the Holy Spirit. Her obedience to the guiding of the Spirit touched many people over the years.

Mary had a beautiful smile to match the beautiful person she was on the inside. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved her children and grandchildren very much and would do anything for them. In many ways, she was like a mother to the many younger men and women who knew her.

Above all, Mary’s relationship with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, was paramount in her life. Through the years, whether at church-related activities or at her work, she had the privilege of introducing many people to Jesus Christ. It could be said she was a missionary wherever she went.

Over the years she worked in various capacities as an Office Manager at Drug Emporium, Longs, and at Gibraltar Senior Living. For every job she had, she approached it with her best work effort and with the highest of ethical standards. She was considered by many, the glue that held the company together.

She passed from this life receiving her eternal reward on May 10, 2020. She is survived by her husband, Don Knoblich of Spanaway, WA; son, Chris Knoblich of Wenatchee, WA, and his wife, Judy; and grandsons, Rigel and Michael. She is also survived by son, Brian Knoblich of Kirkland, WA, and his wife, Jen; and grandson, Tyler and granddaughter, Rebecca. She is survived by brothers: Bill Mannon of Everett, WA; Vernon Mannon of Camano Island, WA; and Dave Mannon of Burlington, WA. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

The Knoblich family has always been very special to the LaFollette family. Mary was a gentle, humorous, and spiritual woman and a great influence and friend to my parents along with her husband, Bishop Knoblich. She was very loved and will continue to be in our hearts and memories. I have so many memories of sister Knoblich, and most of them remind me of how fun and silly she was. My heart goes out to the Pastor and Chris and Brian. You're all in our prayers.

Please accept my heartfelt condolences for your beloved Mary. I lived in Spanaway Wa.for two years. Gibraltar Senior Living was my place of work for those two years that I was in Washington State. It was here that I had the pleasure of associating with her . It was a pleasure having her speaking at our monthly staff meetings. We were like one big family at Giraltor Senior Living .Even after moving to Florida she made it known to me that I was one of the best worker they had and had difficulty finding someone who worked as well as I did .
Rest well Mary and if I am faithful we will meet in Heaven

Mary was a very special friend, who was always a strength and an encourager to those she spoke to. I so enjoyed being ‘rooming buddies’ at several Pacific NW Ladies Retreats. It gave us a grand opportunity to get to know each other. She will be truly missed. We have very fond memories to take with us. Bro Don, you and your family have been and will be in our prayers. ‘God is an ever present help in times of troubles.’ ❤
